My daughter is absolutely engrossed in the American presidents, and she prides herself in knowing endless "geeky facts" such as their numerical orders of office, middle names, accomplishments, and even the shapes of their chins! I therefore cut this puzzle for her as a gift for her 11th birthday.
"Hail To The Chiefs" is cut in a style producing slightly larger puzzle pieces. When I think of the Presidents and of Washington DC, I think of the Cherry trees, so it was a must that I use 1/4" Cherry to cut it from!

Caricatures of all 44 Presidents are represented in the artwork, and are displayed with banners showing their names and succession order, as well as art linking them with things they are known for.
Buff the Magic Dragon has taken an interest in things and has decided to stop by and visit the White House for a spell.
I cut the bust of every single President out individually, and I think that she will absolutely love discovering them all in the box, and trying to sort out who is who.
Similarly, all of the name banners were individually cut, and will have to be matched up with their proper American leaders.
In many cases, the background areas were cut out in their entirety and can be linked to their associated presidents.
There is a lot of "white" in between the Presidents, so in an attempt to avoid excessive tediousness, and to add "phun" to the assembly, I tried to include hints of color and content within many of the "in between" pieces. In this way, the assembler can hunt for clues, and perhaps make the association between, say, a white piece with a rocket or a moon on it, with John F Kennedy.
I included several non-presidential Picture Elements, such as the fish on President Arthur's line......
......and was happy to see at least one of my frequently visitng Figurals hop into the puzzle.
Here, it looks like Trevor the Turtle could not resist taking a hike on President McKinley's mountain!
Hail To The Chiefs !!
And finally, here's a Presidential Box for a Presidential puzzle!
