I couldn't wait to cut this print into a puzzle after I purchased it. I think that Bonnie White's wonderful painting of an early American family lends itself very nicely to the nostalgia of which wooden jigsaw puzzles possess. The bright colors and plentiful subjects in the picture really make for a fun puzzling experience.
Cutting this puzzle kept me busy for quite some time! I really enjoyed watching so many Figurals pop in for a visit at once.
In addition to the many Figurals coming to visit, several Picture Elements took the opportunity to hop out.
There is quite a bit going on in this puzzle, which really made it so much fun to cut.
Below, several kite Figurals decided to join the kites already flying in the picture. A large bird can be seen soaring the skies.
An example of some color-line cutting can be found around the sun and it's bordering clouds. Using this technique on occassion can make assemby more challenging for the assembler.
Of course, you can't have a sunrise/sunset without a Fiddler on the Roof playing some music! You'll find him standing on the roof of our big white house.
And speaking of musicals, how could Julie Andrews resist the temptation of finding her way into those rolling hills? You can see her spinning around on the top left!
And speaking of famous people....that might be Benjamin Franklin flying that kite! It looks like there is a key attached to the string!
In the barn, a mama pig and her baby piglet shuffle around. Of course, you can't have a piglet without a spider! That's Some Pig!

Not far away, another mother tries to keep her children in line.

It appears that not every kite has had a glorious flight today!

Anyone hungry for fish?

Buff can be found observing the enjoyment of the children flying their kites.

Here a Figural enjoys the day resting against the side of a well. A Picture Element of a woman retrieving some water approaches from the right.
The Wandering Urchin strolls alongside the road on his search for high adventure.
There are seven little sheep which can be found grazing on the hillside pastures in the background of the puzzle.

And here's a little boy sitting in a tree looking over it all.

You might find him better in the picture below. On the top of the roof sits a weather vane.
